Every split deal in the app has a Report action. Use it if a deal doesn't work at the register, is spam, is misleading, or is offensive. You don't need an account and you don't need to explain yourself.
Reports are acted on automatically as well as by hand: a deal that collects three open reports is hidden from everyone pending review, so a bad instruction stops circulating before we've read a word of it. We review hidden deals and either restore or remove them.
If you'd rather report something by email than in the app, write to team@purplewallet.app and describe the shop and the deal. We aim to respond within two business days.
If a specific contributor's posts aren't useful to you, block them from any deal they authored. Their content disappears from your feed and your recommendations immediately — the block is applied at our database, not filtered on your phone, so it holds everywhere you're signed in on that device.
Tell us. Split deals are community-reported, and although we only surface ones with substantial confirmation, a register's configuration can change without warning. Reporting a deal that failed is the single most useful thing you can do — it's what keeps the confidence score honest for everyone else.
Purple Wallet gives information, not financial advice, and we can't reimburse missed rewards. See the note on that in our privacy policy.
There's no account to close. Your identity is anonymous and tied to your app install, so deleting the app ends it — along with any karma or accuracy record attached to it. That's deliberate and it isn't reversible.
If you want contributions you've made removed as well, email us from the device in question and we'll remove them. Deals other people have voted on may be retained in an anonymised form so the confidence scores other users rely on don't silently change.
If something in the app is hard to read, hard to hear, or hard to operate, please tell us — including which assistive technology you use. We'd rather hear about it than not.
