The card shows up on its own only in Live mode, which needs location set to Always and Live Activities turned on for Purple Wallet in the iPhone's Settings. Without Always, the app still works: open it at the shop and the best card is on the home screen.
On Android the card is a Live Update (a Now Bar chip on Samsung phones, a status chip on Android 16). It appears while Live mode is on and needs location set to While using the app plus notifications allowed for Purple Wallet in the phone's Settings. Purple Wallet shows a small ongoing notification while it is watching for shops. Turn Live mode off and it goes away.
Open the card in your wallet and correct it; the fix applies to you right away. Corrections are shared anonymously so the catalogue gets fixed for everyone (you can turn that off under Corrections in Settings). If another holder added a credit or offer that isn't on your card, tap NOT MINE: items that holders say aren't there stop being shown. You can also use Tell us what is wrong in the menu, or write to team@purplewallet.app.

Voice is optional. The first time you open it, the app asks before any audio is sent to the speech service that turns it into words. Everything voice does can also be done by tapping.
In the app: menu, Settings, DELETE ACCOUNT. It deletes your account and the cards saved to it from our servers straight away, and clears the wallet on that phone. It can't be undone.
If you never signed in, deleting the app ends your anonymous identity. To have anything you contributed removed as well, email us.
Text too small? Settings has a Text size control that goes up to 150%, on top of the iPhone's own text size. If something in the app is still hard to read, hard to hear, or hard to operate, please tell us — including which assistive technology you use. We'd rather hear about it than not.
